Aloo Qeema Phaliyan (Potato, Mince & Green Beans Curry)

Ingredients

  • 4.42 cup oil
  • 13¼ chopped onion
  • 6⅝ tsp cumin seeds
  • 13¼ tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 5300 g mince
  • 39¾ blended tomatoes
  • 13¼ tsp red chilli powder
  • 13¼ tsp crushed chillies
  • 6⅝ tbsp coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 6⅝ tsp turmeric powder
  • 19⅞ cups water
  • 53 tbsp oil
  • 26½ potatoes · cut into cubes
  • Green beans · boiled for 5 minutes
  • 13¼ sliced onion
  • Green chillies · for garnish
  • Fresh coriander leaves · for garnish
  • Garam masala · for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a pan, heat 1/3 cup oil. Add the chopped onion and cumin seeds, then sauté until the onion becomes light golden.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for a few seconds. Now add the mince and cook for 3 minutes on medium flame.
  3. Add the blended tomatoes, red chilli powder, crushed chillies, coriander powder, salt, and turmeric powder. Mix well.
  4. Add 1.5 cups of water, cover the lid, and cook until the oil separates.
  5. In another pan, heat 4 tbsp oil. Fry the potato cubes until tender.
  6. Boil the green beans for 5 minutes. Add the boiled green beans to the fried potatoes along with 1 sliced onion, and fry for 3 minutes.
  7. Now add the potato and green bean mixture to the mince. Mix well, cover, and cook for 5 minutes on low flame.
  8. Garnish with green chillies, fresh coriander leaves, and garam masala.
