Aloo Qeema with Shimla Mirch

Ingredients

  • 3¾ cup oil
  • 22½ medium onions · sliced
  • Whole garam masala
  • 11¼ tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 3375 g beef mince
  • 22½ blended tomatoes
  • 5⅝ tsp turmeric powder
  • 11¼ tsp red chilli powder
  • 11¼ tsp red chilli flakes
  • 5⅝ tbsp coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 11¼ tsp cumin powder
  • 22½ potatoes · cut into cubes
  • 11¼ big capsicum · cut into cubes
  • 11¼ onion · cut into cubes
  • Garam masala · green chillies, coriander leaves, julienned ginger for garnish

Other ingredients

  • 11¼ cup water

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pot and add sliced onions. Fry until golden brown.
  2. Add whole garam masala and ginger-garlic paste. Sauté for a minute.
  3. Add beef mince and cook for 2 minutes on medium flame.
  4. Add blended tomatoes, turmeric, red chilli powder, red chilli flakes, coriander powder, salt, and cumin powder. Mix well.
  5. Add potato cubes, 1 cup water, and pressure cook for 3-4 minutes.
  6. In another pan, lightly fry capsicum and onion cubes on low flame for 4 minutes.
  7. Add them to the mince and potato mixture. Cover and cook for 5 minutes on medium flame.
  8. Garnish with garam masala, green chillies, coriander leaves, and julienned ginger.
  9. Serve hot with roti or naan.
